  We are veterans and their families continuing to serve our community, state and nation.
We are active members of the community who particpate in local events, raise money for charities, present flag education classes, send boys to American Legion Boys State, sponsor High School Oratorical Contests, retire flags with honor, honor fallen veterans at thier funerals, help veterans and their families to receive their benefits, etc.
| Upcoming Events (events will be updated): Baseball State Tourniment: Congratulations to both of our baseball teams. The Senior team finished the District Championship with FOUR WINS and NO Losses. Our Junior Team finished as runner-up in the District Championship and was advanced to the State Tourniment. The Junior State Championship has already started in Glen Allen, our team is undefeated and plays Charlottesville tonight at 5PM in Glen Allen. Our Senior Team will play on Tuesday at Noon in Stuarts Draft. Good Luck to Both Teams. If you see our coaches, thank them for a great job. Street Fair: Saturday, September 6, 2008, we will have a tent at the Town of Orange Street Fair, additional information to follow. National Convention: August 26-28, 2008, Phoenix, AZ. Immediate Past Commander, Thom Guthrie will attend as the delegate from the 13th District. Recently Completed Events Four Boys from Orange County High School Attended American Legion Boys State. Allen Drinkwater and Thom Guthrie attended as Counsellors. May 26,2008 We conducted a ceremony at Taylor Park at 11 AM. We had over 125 people in attendance. Thank you to members of the Post, especially Jeff Davis, Sergeant at Arms and Bob Reeves, Finace officer for their assistance. Thank you to the JROTC, Boy Scouts from Troop 14, and the Orange County Community Band. 10,000 Raffle was held on Saturday May 10th
President Thomas Jefferson's Birthday, Our Commander attended the ceremony held at Monticell on April 16,2008.
President James Madison's Birthday The ceremony was held on March 16, 2008 at Montpilier at the gravesite. It was wet and cold, but, I enjoyed the ceremony and the dedication of the New Visitors Center. Four Chaplains Service February 3 We had about 20 people attend at Orange Baptist Church. Rev. Clore did a great job at getting the message across. Thank you so much for your attendance.
